Haakaa Wide Neck Thermal Stainless Steel Straw Bottle 9.5 oz

So I came across a new style straw bottle/Sippy cup for my little 5 year old. I reached out to Parent’s Favorites and asked about the cup and told them I wanted to review this Haakaa straw bottle to see how well it works. This cup has ergonomic easy grip handles that allows your little one to gain the confidence to hold their cup all by their self. This cup also allows your child to learn how to drink through a straw with the one provided with the Haakaa straw bottle. It is a silicone straw and soft for your little one. The cup is easy to use as my five year old had no problem lifting the lid to allow the straw to be exposed for drinking and he managed to shut the lid by himself as well. It’s easier with the push of a button for these little ones to use.

The great thing about these bottles is that it is a thermal based bottle which allows you to keep liquids hot or cold for 6 or more hours. The great thing for parents is that they don’t have to work about hot water for formula feedings or icepacks to keep milk cold when they are on the go. The other plus side to the Haakaa products is that they are BPA, PVC, Phthalate, Lead and Nitrosamine free. There are a few things to know about the Haakaa products to. It is recommended that you hand wash the cups even though they are dishwasher safe. It is best to wash your Haakaa straw bottle after every use as well with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. DO NOT use bleach based products and DO NOT use in the microwave. For the bottle itself it is wonderful as the durability is great! My little one has knocked it off the table and no damage was done to this bottle. The Haakaa bottle is very versatile with accessories as you are able to use the same bottle and convert it to a baby bottle, a sippy cup, milk storage bottle or you can even use it as a food container.

            For my personal view on the Haakaa straw bottle, I would definitely recommend this product. It has a very useful hand strap and handles on the cup which can be removed if you choose to.  It has been the go to cup for my little man. He wants to take it everywhere because he feels like its like daddy’s Ozark Trail stainless steel cup. He feels like a big boy with it and he LOVES that his drinks stay cold. ONE WORD OF ADVICE – If you choose to give your little one sprite – it is not the best to put a carbonated drink in this cup. All is good until the lid is shut and re-opened. Sprite all over you is not fun. LOL. But overall juice, water and tea we had no problem with it. Just the carbonated drinks collected a built up and when opened started to come out of the straw faster than you could drink it up. LOL
